At Kirunabuss, we are an active part of this development. Our ambition is clear: to contribute to a more sustainable Kiruna where <strong>environmentally friendly public transport<\/strong> is the obvious choice.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Through electrification, renewable fuels, and smart digital technology, we are creating the transport solutions of the future in northern Sweden.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Electrification of the Bus Fleet in Kiruna<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>A central part of our commitment to sustainable transport is the transition to <strong>electric buses in Kiruna<\/strong>. The proportion of electric buses in our fleet is continuously increasing, leading to: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reduced carbon dioxide emissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved air quality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quieter urban environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lower climate impact per journey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Together with regional partners, we are developing charging infrastructure to ensure a long-term sustainable electrification of public transport<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Renewable fuels \u2013 reduced climate impact today<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Not all vehicles can yet be fully electrified. That\u2019s why we use renewable fuels such as HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) in parts of our bus fleet. <\/p>\n\n<p>This is a concrete and immediate step toward lower emissions and strengthens Kiruna\u2019s position in climate-smart transport in Norrbotten.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Smart route optimization and digital technology<\/h2>\n\n<p>Sustainable transport isn\u2019t just about fuels\u2014it\u2019s also about efficiency. Through:<br\/>\u2022 Real-time data<br\/>\u2022 Connected vehicles<br\/>\u2022 Digital route optimization<br\/>\u2022 Efficient schedule planning <\/p>\n\n<p>we reduce deadheading, fuel consumption, and unnecessary emissions.<\/p>\n\n<p>At the same time, we improve punctuality and create more reliable public transport for Kiruna residents and visitors.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Together for a more sustainable Kiruna<\/h2>\n\n<p>Real change requires collaboration. That\u2019s why we actively work with:<br\/>\u2022 Information campaigns about sustainable travel<br\/>\u2022 School partnerships on climate and transport<br\/>\u2022 Dialogue with residents and local stakeholders <\/p>\n\n<p>When more people choose public transport, we reduce congestion, emissions, and the overall climate impact in Kiruna.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The future of sustainable transport in Kiruna<\/h2>\n\n<p>For us, sustainability isn\u2019t a side project\u2014it\u2019s at the core of our business model.
