Direct Train to Abisko
You can travel by train all the way from Stockholm – including from Arlanda – directly to Abisko. This route between Kiruna and Narvik has been awarded as one of the most beautiful railway stretches in the country.

Prefer to fly? Simply land at Kiruna airport and then hop on the train from Kiruna to Abisko.

In addition to trains and transfers, there are also regional bus lines that run to Abisko.
Line 91: Operates Kiruna–Abisko during peak season. Book tickets: Länstrafiken Norrbotten
Line 957 / 505: Runs Monday–Friday and stops at both Abisko and Björkliden. The line changes name between Rensjön and Kiruna, but it’s the same bus.
From Riksgränsen 05:25 → Björkliden 05:50 → Abisko Tourist 06:00 → Abisko East 06:05 → Arr Kiruna 07:55.
From Kiruna 16:15 → Abisko East 17:45 → Abisko Tourist 17:55 → Björkliden 18:00 → Riksgränsen 18:35.

Line 957 must be pre-booked by 5 PM the day before your intended travel.
